Last Sunday we had a great discussion with our Loop Team #1. We're studying the book of Acts, learning about how the Holy Spirit empowers and guides us. One of our group members (new to the faith) had been on a business trip to a large city, and had encountered a number of homeless people asking for money. How do you know when to help and when not to?
Of course there is no "easy" answer.... but we talked about various Bible passages that can guide us, and then the process of trying to listen to and follow God. And this conversation led us to ask: How does God want us to help the poor in our community? Our discussion continues, and we hope to have some practical ideas that we put into practice soon...
