Yes, I know that we're supposed to get 5-9 inches of snow today. But Spring is coming. How do I know? Obviously it's not crocus or daffodils poking their heads up through the ground (we're still a LONG way away from that). And I haven't yet seen a robin (if the robin's smart, he'll stay away for quite awhile). No, it's not the normal signs that have me thinking Spring. It's... our little solar lights.
We have some of those cheap stick-in-the-garden solar powered lights stuck in garden pots on our deck. For most of the winter, we don't get enough sunlight for the lights to get powered. But last night... they had a weak ghostly glow to them. Yes, over the past few days they've gotten enough light to power up. (I'm guessing the 5-9 inches of snow will slow them down again, however). That weird glow made me happy!
And... makes me think. What powers me up? What's my "sunshine"? Prayer, faith, Jesus, His Word. Marsh, friends, family, laughter. Colors, flowers, and - yes - real sunshine.
What powers you up?
