I tell people that when they come to The Loop they can dress any way they choose... really. But telling people that and showing them are two different things.
Last night we got together for a service project... packing shoe boxes for "Operation Christmas Child." I was wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt. Hadn't really thought about it... I was dressed for comfort!
But when one of the guys in our group came in, he said he was happy to see me in sweatpants. Why? Because he was in jeans. I kept saying it doesn't matter what you wear, but until I was "dressed appropriately" he didn't feel comfortable in his jeans.
I wonder how many other things I need to SHOW people rather than TELL them. Food for thought...
