I'm done with Christmas shopping (okay, there's one more trip I'll have to make to the store, but that has to wait for a couple of weeks... and maybe, if there's some great bargain out there, I'll face the "black Friday" rush... but in my mind, I'm DONE).
A few years ago I realized this: I love Christmas, and I love giving presents. But I hate the malls and stores from now until Christmas! SO... in order for me to really enjoy the season, I get my shopping done early (for someone who is a natural procrastinator, this is something of a minor miracle!). And now?
*I can take time for Thanksgiving!
*I can truly enjoy Advent as a season of waiting and spiritually preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus!
*I'm celebrating!
