Following a friend's suggestion, a couple of days ago I...
1. Wrote out 10 things for which I'm thankful to God
2. Went for a walk
3. Wrote out 10 more things for which I'm thankful
4. Sang a praise song
5. Wrote out 10 more things.
By the time you get to number 30 you are past the "standard" answers. I discovered I'm thankful for...
-the color purple (not the book or movie, but the actually color. It makes me happy!)
-creativity and
-hot chocolate (or even cold chocolate)
We have so much to be thankful for... even in trying or difficult times.
Try this exercise and see what you might be thankful for that you rarely think about! And then... celebrate that God loves us enough...
to give us purple and hot chocolate!
