Jennifer (our "daughter") is headed out tomorrow to go to Florida with a friend. They are on a mission... bring back a car that Jenn's dad has for her. They'll take five days to make the trip. Along the way they will stay with friends and family that I've contacted who are willing to give them a place to sleep.
Some of these friends are people I haven't seen for years, but they are willing to help out. I'm thankful! I didn't want Jenn to be driving all night, or driving tired. A world-wide-web of friends is a far better thing than the www of the internet. In a few weeks, Jenn and I will be staying with another friend who is putting us up while Jenn takes a class in Washington, DC. Thank you, Lord, for friends all over the place who are willing to help out!
And Lord? Some day I pray that The Loop would spread out all over the place... willing to lend a hand in all kind of places, to all kinds of people...
