Today is my birthday. And I'm at an age where I'm not going to tell you hold old I am!
Last night Marsh took me out for a wonderful celebration... dinner and a movie. Tonight, dinner will be a bit less leisurely. Why? Because we're signed up to go pack food at Feed My Starving Children.
I know some people will think this is a crazy thing to do on a birthday. But... Thursdays are when we usually go, this "fit" on the schedule... and somehow, I can't think of a better way of celebrating another year of life... helping a kid who otherwise might literally starve, reach yet one more birthday. (And let's face it, birthdays are more fun when you're a kid!).
SO... in my head, I'm going to light a "birthday candle" for every kid that we pack meals for tonight.
Celebrating one more year of life... together.
