But last night, I listened to two different weather forecasters, and both were apologetic for this weather! Evidently most people want warm weather in July. Not me...
As we get The Loop going, I'm discovering that just like hot weather in July, alot of people want something more "traditional" than what we're offering. (They would probably never say that... they'd say they want something "contemporary"... but "contemporary" still is on Sunday morning, with a specific kind of service). But you know what? That's okay. There are lots of churches that can offer that (just like there are plenty of places with warm weather in July!). For me? I'll revel in what The Loop is doing, just like I revel in a 70 degree day in July.
Last week? Our "church time" was going and packing meals for starving kids. Next time we get together? It will be for a meal, a "Loop Lesson" video, and a discussion about getting in step with God. Refreshing. Not hot and stuffy. Hmmm.... could be a new slogan.
