This has been a tough month in the "church planting realm." One couple that came to the Alpha introduction hasn't connected with us again. Getting connected to 100 new people takes alot more time than I'd like it to [or that I'd planned on. I get the "oh, this will only take a little time (when it takes alot)" from my dad. He underestimates time on a regular basis]. In addition, sickness has taken its toll... we lost a whole week when Marshal and I both got the stomach flu, and Marsh was sick with a bad cold for a whole week. This morning I was taking a deep breath, figuring out what's next. (Yes, I've got alot of calls and emails to make in order to keep going on the 100 new connections). And in the midst of feeling a bit discouraged, these words popped into my head: "...don't become weary..." I looked up the verse, and here's what I read in Galatians 6:
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people..."
Okay. I'll keep going. But I'll also say this: I'm looking forward to a harvest... whenever that may be...
