We have lots of fireflies this year. (We also have lots of dragon flies... I wonder why?)
A couple of nights ago as I lay in bed I saw a FLASH-FLASH-FLASH across the room. Yup... a firefly had decided he wanted to reside in our bedroom rather than the great outdoors. When I pointed him out to Marsh, he took his PDA and started flashing the light in the direction of the firefly. You guessed it... the firefly was attracted to Marsh's PDA light! I'm guessing that when the firefly got "up close and personal" with the PDA he was disappointed!
Reminds me of us when we are attracted to false things. We think some shiny new thing (a new car, new house, new outfit, new job) will somehow complete us or make us happy. Only problem? When we finally get close, we're disappointed.
If we could only remember that there's one true light... and His name is Jesus!
