Holy Week reflection

Holy Week. Death to life. Crucifixion to resurrection. "Hosanna" to "Crucify!" to "He is Risen!"

So much that changed the world squashed into such short a time.

Do you ever think about how everything in the universe changed in a mere few days?

Today I'm reminded that the miracle of transformation that our Savior wrought is not limited to 2,000 years in the past.

The past few months I've been talking to a long-time friend with cancer. We've had many intellectual conversations about religion and faith in the past. But things change when you say the words "I'm scared to die."

In just the past couple of weeks she's come to understand the grace of Jesus, and His invitation to "all who are thirsty" to "come." She tells me her fear has been replaced with a deep peace.

In a very short time span, once again Jesus changed the world. At least He changed hers and mine. Grateful.
