We just finished our annual Christmas letter. I'm hoping that by the end of the week, we'll have cards (some email, some physical) sent. (I know, I know, don't have a heart attack. This might mean that people actually get our card before Christmas!).
I find it a good exercise to write that letter. It makes me stop and look back on the year. Where we've changed, grown, been challenged. Where God has shown up in unexpected ways.
2011 has been a good year. In many ways, a simple year. I like those! Will 2012 be the same? Whether simple or complex, easy or difficult, I do know one thing: God will continue to show up. And that will make it, at least in one way, another good year.
