I just got done updating The Loop's website, facebook group, and facebook page. Does that make me sound like a "techie"? The reality is that anyone who knows me would laugh at the idea that I'm technically oriented! But I am learning how to use these technical tools and connect them...
One thing I've learned is that, while I'm frustrated that I can't get my Mac-based website to show up in the google engines, I CAN get our church's facebook page to show up. So... connect them!
And for awhile I was frustrated by having too many things to keep updated on the website every time we scheduled a new event on facebook. But I've learned... connect them!
Re-directing people from one site to another (and hey - my blog would be included in this), just makes sense. More ways to get the news out!
I find this is true in the church world, as well. The Loop isn't your cup of tea? Or you live too far? I'll connect you to something that makes more sense. If we (in the church world) could better "link" to one another, we'd be functioning better as well!
