I'm back to teaching Humanities at a local college. We're in week 2 of a 6 week abbreviated semester. On Tuesday, I asked students on their quiz to write down anything that would be helpful for me to know (like what they were struggling to understand). One guy wrote that he wanted me to know that he hated stuff like theater and music and religion and... (yeah, that's pretty much the class... and it's a required class). Ah, a challenge to make a class he "hates" something that impact his life.
I love the challenge!
