Into the Silence
I'm now in Baltimore finishing up training for "spiritual direction." Tonight we begin a 36 hour period of silence. Since most of the people here are introverts, I think they are looking forward to it! While I'm an extrovert, I'm also looking forward to it. We've had alot of learning over the past 4 1/2 days, and I need a break, and time to think and process. But there is one bit of "noise" that I wish I could have on this day of silence... I'm craving some worship music! (Most of the music that has been used here this week is music that I'm unfamiliar with... and there's actually been very little music). I suppose that even though I won't be hearing or singing music in the next 36 hours, I can always be carrying a tune in my head!
Superintendent (overseeing some wonderful pastors and churches), adventurer, writer, spiritual director, strategist, and occasional thrower of pots (on the wheel, not across the room)! Married to a wonderful guy named Marshal.
