On Wednesday, I sent out The Loop's "evite" for Sunday night. I told people where to drop their kids off, and where to meet. This was a step of faith, because at that point, I had no one to watch the kids. On Thursday, another pastor gave me a "lead" for someone who is a licensed day care worker. Thursday night, before I'd called this woman, I was at pottery class, where I "happened" to meet someone, who I "happened" to mention our childcare need to. She told me her daughter loves to babysit. I told her we'd need an adult. But when I called the licensed day care worker, she told me that with the kids age-range we have, she'd want a youth to be with her. I remembered the woman from pottery class... and actually knew a mutual friend that I could call for a phone number. I got her phone number, called, and am now waiting to hear if her daughter can also help us on Sunday night. This daughter-of-my-pottery-classmate lives right on the way to where we're meeting. Oh... and did I mention that the licensed day-care worker wants to do Bible stories and music with the kids?
I love it when God answers our prayers and steps of faith in wild ways!!
